## Problem or Reason for Work

External joints can open up from UV, thermal movement, poor prep, or old material reaching the end of its life. Once water can sit in or behind the joint, the repair needs proper scoping before resealing.

## Process

- Check close and wide photos for access, exposure, and joint condition.
- Remove failed material where the existing bead is no longer sound.
- Prepare the bonding faces and use backing where the joint design calls for it.
